When Vee discovers Hunter used to be the Golden Guard, she gets upset and refuses to speak to him. But since neither of them have anywhere else to go, they're stuck navigating an extremely difficult relationship.
It doesn't help that Hunter is keeping a secret from her.
At first, Aphelios had just wanted information. And Sett was willing to give that in return for a fight in The Pit. And after he got what he wanted, Sett assumed that was it.
But then Aphelios returned. And very quickly, they fell into a routine. A pattern of Sett waiting and Aphelios returning. And at first, it had just been a physical release.
But Sett was only a man. A man with a heart that loved far too easily.
