Tony Stark had lost his son when he was only 2 years old, stolen away in broad daylight with nobody the wiser of what exactly happened. Years later, Tony has just made it through the disaster with Ultron. He is trying to keep himself and the team together but relationships are strained and tempers are running high.Then a random turn of events leads to his path crossing with that of a particular vigilante. They are strangers to each other, or so they think. Peter Parker is on top of the world. After a few shitty years, losing his parents and then losing his Uncle, things are finally looking up. Sure he lives in a crappy little apartment with his Aunt but he might have just found his mission in life. ------ This is an AU story obvious by some of the tags. Peter has the gauntlet, the stones already in place. Aliens are beginning to swarm him and in the overwhelming panic that begins to consume, he does the only thing he can think of. He shoves his hand into the gauntlet.

“Oh, god.” Steve whispers, sounding as horrified as Tony feels. “You’re so young. Tony, he’s so young.” Spider-Man coughs once, a frail, baby-bird sound. . (They find his body in a Dumpster.)

Tony snaps his fingers...and wakes up five days before the events that led to the death of JARVIS and the creation of Ultron. He decides he won't let the future he lived come to pass, no matter how thoroughly he has to destroy the timeline. Or: Tony Stark will do anything to keep Peter Parker from turning to ash, and T'Challa gets dragged along for the ride.

peter parker doesn't know it yet, but he's the heir to stark industries. this fic is basically tony training him to be the heir by making peter act as ceo during the youngboss protocol, where peter takes charge of the company in case of emergencies. essentially, peter does cool stuff at stark industries and also there's a field trip fic in chapter 4, because everyone loves a field trip fic. multi-chapter fic!!

So... some weird stuff is going on. First the dreams, then Peter calls him Dad, and now everyone is convinced Peter is his illegitimate son. What a day. If only things could get even crazier... oh wait...

"I am going to find Tony," the man hisses in Peter's ear, his gaze cold and cruel. "And when I do, I will kill him, slowly. What do you say to that-" The man stops short because Peter's shoulders are shaking, and before he can curl his lip in victory, he hears a snicker. When he lets go of Peter's hair, the teen's head slumps to his chest, but it's not out of exhaustion or defeat...it's to hide a smile. The boy lets out a laugh, shaking his head before glancing to the sides admitting apologetically, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, it's just- it is so fun to mess with you!" He looks around before snorting, "Tony Stark? That's your play? You're not screwing with me, right? You actually thought that would work? Sorry guys." Peter straightens in his chair with a sneer and a cocky wink, "Tony doesn't give a flying crap about me." In other words.... Peter is kidnapped and his captors think they can hold Tony against him. But they don't know what's happened in the past couple months.

But the one that caught his eye and made him stop, was a shade of highlighter blue so bright that it almost hurt his eyes to look at. He did though, too wrapped up in taking careful note of the dark text, stark against the obscenely brilliant paper, advertising his name. Reward: for anyone with information on one (1) Peter B. Parker. $7 And under that, in a delicate scrawl of purple crayon, the following sentence: “It’s all I have in my piggy bank right now. But we can do an IOU if you need more.” or; it’s been three years since Peter asked Strange to complete the spell that would erase him from everyone’s memory. Three years without anyone knowing him. Three years, all alone. All alone, that is, until he finds the poster advertising a reward for anyone with information on Peter Parker, with a note clearly written by a child. alternatively; Doctor Strange erased everyone’s memories. Everyone’s, it seems, except for Morgan Stark’s.

Tony Stark had made it possible. Spent endless hours, sleepless nights and caffeine induced days to bring the Rogues home and here they were. However there is one thing he forgot to do. Tell Peter.

Peter receives a permission slip for a field trip to the Avenger's Compound. And that's before the photo of him and Tony leaks, and before he starts a Stark Intern Twitter account, and before Bucky bugs him and finds out his whole school thinks he's a liar, and before Tony decides that he's going to prove Peter's Internship is real, and before his school visits his second home. At least Peter has his crazy protective super-family to get him through it, though.
