Picking up where the show left off, this story is an exploration of Kara and Lena gradually growing beyond the confines of their friendship, into something more, with all the fits and starts that a process like that entails. It is meant to be canon compliant but, and I cannot emphasize this enough, I did not watch Supergirl for the plot. So a lot of the plot points are murky in my memory. I'll try to do the plot history justice and if there are any glaring issues with that let me know and I'll try to fix it. Maybe. Above all this is a love story.
