Deku No-Surname is a former member of the Trostian Mafia, a street rat, and a valued member of Special Operations Squad Levi. His plans for the future haven't really surpassed "try not to die" until he finds himself being dragged into keeping Eren Jaeger, his fellow (quirked?) buddy from being executed by their totalitarian government. And then they're at war. He didn't really sign up for this. When he returns to his homeworld, he's... different. Sharper. Not the sniveling little kid 1-A remembers him as. When given the chance, Izuku goes back in time to the alpha-dominated society of his father's youth in an attempt to understand why Katsuki is like he is. Accidentally interrupting his parents' first meeting and having his father fall in love with him wasn't part of the plan. Katsuki is determined to court Izuku, no matter how much he protests. Izuku just wants to get his parents back together so he can go back to the correct time period without fading from existence. However, Izuku is not prepared for how forward courting in the past is. He has a month to get the timeline back in order. Katsuki, on the other hand, just wants to sink his teeth into this intriguing omega and nothing, not even Izuku himself, is going to stop him.

Satoru doesn't survive the fight with Fushiguro Toji. He dies, cold and alone, leaving behind only a curse with a taste for carnage. Suguru brings that curse to his lips, swallows down the remains of his best friend, his one and only. He doesn't know if it's Satoru's soul or just a mindless curse he's ingesting, but still, he can't part with it.

Book one ends with two major diffrences: 1. Sokka went on the mission with Hahn (it did not go well) 2. Zhao survives the North Pole and that proves unfortunate for everybody (except Zhao, obviously) Imprisoned on Zhao’s war ship, Sokka and Zuko have to work together to survive. They are not very enthusiastic about this prospect. And they argue. A lot.
