Aizawa Shouta has a neighbour who owns an apartment directly across from his and Hizashi’s. Shouta has never seen anyone else, but has accidentally gotten to know his young Green haired neighbour through panes of glass separating their apartment kitchens. Or There is more going on behind the scenes, but both Izuku and Shouta are curious about their late night coffee buddies. Hizashi is curious about a new little listener.

There’s a kid on the roof. Shouta jumps the last bit to it and lands silently, approaching the green figure there, mentally trying to gauge if they’re at risk. They’re leaning casually on the railing and an All Might backpack is on the ground next to them as they watch the world below. “Hey kid, you good?” There’s a squeak of surprise from the kid and they turn, face brushing through a thousand different emotions before settling on surprise. “Hello!” They flush red and bow awkwardly. “Sorry if I disrupted you!” “Nah, you’re fine. I was just concerned to see a..” Shouta sees the grade school jacket neatly folded, a pair of bright red shoes stacked on top next to the bag. “Kid up here alone without his shoes on.” The kid goes pale and then he’s bowing lower than the first time, stuttering out more apologies. “Oh god, I swear it doesn’t look like that! I was just taking them off because a few kids in my class dumped my bag in the fountain outside our school and I forgot to take them off when I was going in and this roof is sunny so I was using it to dry everything, I’m so sorry if you thought I was going to jump!”

Izuku Midoriya has a quirk. Yes it is called One For All, but there is another, one forced so deep down inside him that he didn't know it existed. With time away from home ending in a nice dinner made by his mom, something goes wrong and this time Inko took it too far. Hisashi Kuraii is an underground hero in America, he has a dragon quirk. Turns out Izuku does as well. A quirk suppressant overdose causes something to awaken within Izuku, it also causes a previously out-of-the-loop father to meet his son for the first time in fifteen years.
