Driven Out and Taken In
After the fall of Erebor and the tragedy of Azanulbizar, many dwarves have come to hate the line of Durin. After losing his grandfather, father, and siblings, all Thorin has left is his nephews, who are no more than toddlers. When the meddling wizard Gandalf comes to the rescue, he takes Thorin and his boys onto the backs of Eagles to a place far to the west, in a dainty place called the Shire. He leaves the line of Durin in the caring hands of Bilba Baggins, who has never had the heart to leave home since her mother's death. The strong, nurturing Hobbit and the pained, stubborn Dwarf are stuck with each other, raising two boys in the curious and not always kind eyes of the Shire. tl;dr, Thorin and baby Durins go to Shire, fem!Bilbo is caring BAMF. Silly Trinkets
There are no words adequate to describe the Last Homely House or the wonders of Lord Elrond’s hospitality, which seems impossible to strain even under the burden of thirteen empty dwarfish stomachs and their even more trying attitudes. Having played hostess to those same stomachs in her time, Briar is duly impressed and endeavors to add to the burden as little as possible. This is made somewhat more difficult by the fact that elves, apparently, are better able to differentiate between hobbit gentlemen and hobbit ladies that dwarves seem to be. A fact Briar learned when Lord Elrond pulled her to one side after their meal and put her into the hands of his daughter and her women with a gentle smile. Briar feels that she probably owes him a swift kick in the shins for that.

The Quest of Erebor as it might have been.Billa Baggins is not your average burglar- or, perhaps, a burglar at all. That remains to be seen. Thorin resents this little female's habit of gaining a foothold wherever she lands. Even in his heart.A retelling/reinvention of A Hobbit's Tale, beginning with Thorin's arrival at Bag End. Through the Reclaiming of Erebor, and beyond! WARNING: Ridiculous length, extreme drama, and non-canon moments galore. Written and edited by the Ladies Juno and Loki.

Erebor's time has finally come, now that Thorin has gathered together enough loyal Dwarves to make it to the Lonely Mountain alive. Dwalin just wishes they weren't a cursed number.Oh, and that the irritatingly bull-headed Halfling Tharkûn found in the Shire would go home already. The Wilds are no place for a half-starved, girl-child gentleHobbit who can neither fight nor fend for herself. Belda's time to escape has finally come, now that she's managed to convince (read: emotionally blackmail) Gandalf into agreeing to let her come on the quest thingy he seems to be on, as well as convince the annoyingly bull-headed leader of the Dwarven pack to let her join them until Rivendell, at least. She only hopes she can earn their respect.Especially his second-in-command.Oh, and that they won't kill her when they find out the truth. She might not be their Burglar yet, but she regrets lying to them anyway.Other than Thorin. The stupidhead.

The Ponderings of a Hobbit and the Writings of a Bear and Balin
The Ponderings of a Hobbit and the Writings of a Bear and Balin
“It is one thing to know that your child will grow up and fall in love with the one that shares their mark and an entirely different thing to see the proof before your eyes; proof that your child will not only lead a different life from you, but be taken from you by someone who you may never get the chance to know…” -From the personal journal of Belladonna Baggins Billa Baggins had grown up knowing that she was different, and it was not simply because of the fact that she was a Took-Baggins. While that was a partial factor to her strangeness, what was more definite was her flowering on the back of her left ear. Unlike other Hobbit flowerings that marked out the name of their soul mates, Billa’s flower was in a different language that was clearly not Hobbitish, with rough runes that were slightly warm to the touch.Everyone in the Shire knew that Billa was not ever going to marry another respectable hobbit. Kingly Benefits
Kingly Benefits
Dwarrow women were rare- to the point that they could refuse kings their pleasure, where the men could not. During the quest in a company full of his cousins and nephews, Thorin Oakenshield decides to take pleasure in their burglar- a creature soft enough that Thorin can pretend the hips he grasp in the dark belong to a feminine creature. Bilbo Baggins doesn’t mind so much, being bed by a king of dwarves on the regular. She’s not as fond of bumming as he seems to be, but as long as no children come from it, it’s all just good fun innit? Still, it would have been nice if he’d asked first. Also, if they ever did it somewhere she could actually take her pants all the way off, that’d be nice.

Season of Urges
Season of Urges
The Urge comes around a female Hobbit's coming of age. It is affectionately called Heat by some of the older ladies. The Urge provides an innate drive to find a partner she is most compatible with. This is done by hugging or pecking random lads or lasses, waiting for the Heat to strike and tell her she found her soulmate. Its a Hobbit's most reliable way of finding them. Only for Billa, she'd never felt the Urge.Until she was snatched into the sudden, grateful embrace of Thorin Oakenshield himself after he woke on the Carrock. Almost Respectable
Billa Baggins was perfectly respectable. She may have adventured as a child, but she certainly has no plans to do so when she is an adult. That plan went out the window when a company of dwarves showed up at her hobbit hole, lead by the rightful king under the mountain. In the time that follows, Billa will tell herself that she ran out that door because she believed in the quest. And she did, it just helped that Thorin Oakenshield happened to be rather attractive. Billa wasnt about to admit that to herself though.

Behind Blue Eyes
Where Thorin is water, deep and vast and unpredictable as the sea, Dwalin is fire. Or, well, something equally burning, for the passionate scalding heat of volcanoes is actually made of molten rock and stone (or so her father's books claim, and how fit would that be for such a rock-skulled dwarrow).Either way, Bilbo cannot help but think that it fits: Both of them are so different, and yet so very much alike - passionate, and forces of nature, and neigh unstoppable. And she is so terribly, hopelessly, ridiculously in love with both of them.
