After the tragic events at The Big Spot, and an innocent hug, Daryl is more than a little surprised when Beth seeks him out to secretly take her back to the Greene family farm for a precious family heirloom. Bound by a sense of duty, he hesitantly agrees, and when a heated exchange results in an unexpected passionate tryst, Daryl is forced to come to terms with this shifting friendship and the growing attraction he has to Beth Greene. Beth Greene was only a freshman, but she was already so done with highschool. It wasn't that she didn't have any friends, or that she was getting bullied. Aside from the boring, dragging lessons, there was another problem too: The man who had been watching her outside her school, waiting by her bus stop for her to leave. Little did she know, her problem was about to get a lot worse when her bus left without her and the man took his chance. OR Daryl stalks and kidnaps 15-year-old Beth then rapes her.

So here's the thing: Merle Dixon is dead as fuck. And as it turns out, Beth Greene is the only one who can see or hear him. Which is weird considering she's never met or even heard of this guy, let alone anyone with the last name Dixon. That's her first problem. The second problem? Merle won't leave her alone. He insists that he will literally haunt her entire family if she doesn't help him resolve some kind of weird conflict concerning his death. And for some reason it concerns his brother, too. So Beth has no choice but to confront and try to convince the living—and extremely stubborn—Daryl Dixon to not only believe her, but also help her. Admittedly, she has no idea what she's getting herself into. And who could? A fake psychic's cryptic advice, a bunch of brotherly angst, a mysterious Swamp Witch, a deal with a demon, a battle against time for the fate of two souls, and a shit ton of repressed childhood trauma. Oh, and on top of all that... the relentless Merle Dixon and his ever enlightening commentary.
