And now with all this talk about their past, and Deku babysitting him… he didn’t want Deku to still see him that way. He wants Deku to see him as an adult. He’s twenty and he has his own place, and he’s not the same kid who’d set the toaster on fire and begged Deku not to tell his parents. He doesn’t fully understand why, but it’s very important to him that Deku doesn’t still see him that way.
