When Percy Jackson slipped into the car Thalia Grace had occupied, he'd expected a neat conversation, maybe a bit of a retreat from having to sleep in cold, lonesome cars for a bit. He certainly hadn't expected to confront a new-found fascination with muscular thighs, nor confront the crush he'd been nursing since meeting her in the summer, but, well, here we are. Who would've thought it would be returned though? They do argue like a married couple though... With the Great Prophecy hanging over their heads, and so much pressure on their shoulders, sometimes comfort has to be found in letting go with another person, just for a little bit. But while this is a good step for most of you, it’s nothing when you consider that Athena has been sending her children to die by their greatest phobia for millennia.” Percy snaps. “Gifts and visits and dancing don't even begin to fix any of that.” None of it was fair, and Percy hated Athena with an unquenchable vengeance for the way she treated Annabeth. Even now, two years after they had broken up, Percy’s anger at the war goddess was an unquenchable monster that lived within him. Annabeth, for all her flaws, was a worthy hero and had been a good friend and she deserved better than Athena’s neglect, abuse and cruelty.
