When a work conflict prevents Athena from accompanying Bobby to Minnesota for the ten year anniversary of his family dying, Buck and May offer to go instead. Over the course of the trip, they all learn more about each other, and Bobby faces his grief.

After losing his wife and struggling to raise Christopher alone in LA, Eddie's parents do the one thing that they've been threatening to do for years. Take his son away from him, leaving Eddie angry, distrustful, and a shell of who he used to be. After leaving the Seals, Buck meets someone who will change his life for the better, and someone who will change his life for the worse, leaving him desperate for escape. Both have the fight of their lives in front of them, and it's going to take the combined efforts of friends, family, and eventually, each other, to get them through it.

Buck loves music. After the lawsuit, he finds the time to express everything that’s happened into song form, building a safety net of lyrical prose. What he doesn’t expect is that his music takes off, skyrocketing him to fame under the alias “Evan Buchanan”. When Bobby forces him to use all of his vacation time, he decides to embark on his North American tour. As his absence in the station grows, the 118 realize how much they ruined Buck. As Buck’s last performance at Dodger Stadium approaches, can the team rectify their mistakes? When Philip and Margaret decide to visit Los Angeles on the weekend of a big Grant-Nash barbeque, Bobby encourages Buck and Maddie to invite their parents so they don't have to miss out. When Philip and Margaret cause problems, Buck sees what he means to the family he chose. AKA I was angry at the Buckley parents and decided to vent in the form of little sister wrath.

Buck, her brother, the kid she raised, is gone. The kid who helped her through her lowest and brought her up, and cheered her on even through her highest. The kid she never thought she could lose. The kid she can’t believe is gone. How could she? It’s her brother, and she wasn’t even there through his lowest. Or: Post lawsuit, Buck gets into a car accident and dies. Eddie feels a certain way, Maddie doesn’t know how to take it, Athena and Bobby comfort each other, Chris lost another parent.
