Experience the abyss of a desperate woman and her unwilling daughter. How will Christen react to her abduction? Will Karla finally be broken by the task of making Christen her daughter? How much resistance can and will Christen put up and to what extent does her history play a role in this? I hope that my previous readers will trust me enough to enjoy this somewhat darker story. As usual, I will try to treat the more delicate passages with grace. The focus of the story lies in the struggle of the two women, their traumas, Christen's shame and humiliation, and Karla's desperate attempt to be happy, no matter what she has to do to achieve it.
