A self-fulfilling Hogwarts AU in which Louis is new to seventh year and Harry is the resident devil-may-care Slytherin set to make his entire experience a living misery. Due to less than favourable circumstances they're forced to forge an unwilling, tentative relationship for their own survival. Repressed emotions, decidedly unromantic ballroom dancing, Triwizard Tournament tasks, creative jinxes and twilight flying above the Forbidden Forest ensue.

From the moment Charlie left Hogwarts, he'd heard about Harry Potter. The longer time goes on, the more their lives become intertwined and the more Charlie can't keep himself away (8 year age gap be damned). This is an AU, but uses as many elements from canon as possible. It follows the order of the books but is mostly from Charlie's perspective. Up until later chapters of the story, this all could feasibly exist within the canon universe. Don't be turned off by the 'Underage' tag, I just wanted to cover my bases. Also note the story is only rated at Teen. That being said, if that's a trigger for you then protect yourself and pass this one by. I hold no grudges :)

Everyone’s eyes were multi-coloured to start with, like that from birth, swirls of blues, greens, reds, pinks. Lots of colours intertwining and twisting, making for an altogether very attractive image. But once you kissed your soulmate for the very first time, both of your eyes would transform into just one colour. And that colour would be a mixture of both people’s favourite colours. No two pairs are exactly the same; some can be similar but no two people ever see colours the same way, every person sees it in a slightly different way. Only your eyes matched your soulmate’s; no one else’s. So maybe the reason Harry and Draco hadn’t kissed yet was in case they weren’t soulmates. After going from bitter enemies, to hesitant friends, to close friends, to boyfriends, none of the two wanted to face the harsh disappointment of them not actually being soulmates would be too great to take at the moment. Yet still, both boys wanted so much to find out the truth.

After what happened last school year, the seven enjoy their summer break. However, there may be more on all of their minds than they are initially willing to let on to each other. A new year at Hogwarts starts, and the seven each have to face their own struggles as a part of growing up. However, one of the group carries a secret with him that leads him into something much bigger than he had anticipated; revealing that even within the walls of Hogwarts it might not always be safe.
