Nodus Tollens: the realization that the plot of your life doesn’t make sense to you anymore Q's life at the technical help department of MI6 was decently quiet and paid reasonably well - it even gave him vacation time, although he rarely used it. So when Q was finally coaxed to leave work for a bit and relax, he thought that Paris might be fun. Of course, that was before the gunfight, witnessing a shooting, and being kidnapped by a strange, blue-eyed gunman named James Bond.

Bond stares at him. There are two men tied up against the wall and four more lying on the floor, bleeding and hogtied with duct tape. “I ran out of rope after the first two,” Q admits.

"If you were a woman he would want you." He hopes that, if he were a woman, he might have better taste.

There is something strangely threatening about the realization that he finds James Bond attractive.

The top agents in MI6 are Angels - there's nothing angelic about them, but they sure are dangerous. And not always good with taking orders from bespectacled, stringy Quartermasters.MI6 has decided that a new strategy is needed to ensure the success of their missions, and for that, they hired Q: with his genius mind and [mostly] cool head, it became his job to coordinate the 00-missions.Now the double-o's have a voice in their ear telling them what to do, where to go on missions.Do the double-o's take well to this?No. And the worst ones are 006, 7, and 8... In which Q's got a spine and is willing to beat double-o's over the head with it.

The youngest Holmes holds a minor position at MI6, but somehow still manages to do more damage than Mycroft at his worst. Post Skyfall AU, Q is a little younger and a tad more innocent, and Alec is a good guy and still alive. Reichenbach Falls didn't (and won't) happen.

Q, on the other hand, is having significantly less trouble with coming to terms as to how he currently has a slightly drunk double-oh agent standing in his flat at arse-o’-clock in the morning. Without waiting for a reply, Q starts the vacuum up again and starts to clean the patch of carpet next to Bond’s feet. The vacuum nozzle bumps against Bond’s patent leather shoes a few times and Q grunts, a clear sign that Bond should move. Bond moves. (or, that fic where Q has insomnia and Bond tries to be helpful)

Bond thinks Q needs additional self-defence training. Q thinks Bond is in over his head.

*COMPLETE!* Written for MI6 Cafe's February prompt: He knew immediately– something had changed. His is an extremely rare case, though not exactly unheard of among omegas. At the ripe old age of thirty-two, Q’s body has had enough of heat suppressants.

Q doesn't wear a wedding band (working with electronics and all). So Andrew's teacher assumes he's a single father. James won't stand for it.

James had no idea why Q was so outraged at the tabloid on the coffee table. Not until Q broke down and dropped a bombshell. "My brother wasn't a fake..."

Q is intrigued by the mysterious man James and Alec bring in. But as he speaks to Sherlock Holmes, the Quartermaster may have finally met his match.

James Bond has managed to live through several missions and assignments. But how did he manage to survive parenthood long enough to reach his 60th birthday?

Monique is one assignment away from getting her 00 status. Q helps her jump one last mental hurdle.

Mallory is extremely taken with Q, but he is also convinced he is too old and soft around the middle for Q to ever return his interest. Q decides it's going to be rather fun changing Mallory's mind. Featuring Bond as the amused, meddling friend and Eve as co-conspirator.

James and Q walk their last child down the aisle. Tears are shed and smiles are had.

Apparently, Agent 007 gives cupcakes for Valentine's Day. Apparently, Q really likes it.

Just back from a mission gone awry, Bond's trying to find his balance.
