The One Ring decides it needs to understand its bearer better in order to properly manipulate him - the hobbit is proving unexpectedly good at resisting its influence. The road to East is long and this was never supposed to happen, but violence was never Bilbo's preference when it came to solving problems - whether he was aware that a problem existed or not. The Wise and the Mighty might say that everything has already been tried against Sauron, but Good Hobbit Sense and actually communicating somehow hadn't made that list.

So I have a prompt list. Several actually. And every day I write a short story based off my prompt word/phrase of the day. All of them are Silmarillion-related (dips into The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings here and there). Expect everything ranging from utterly cliche romance to mildly explicit gore and horror. No one ever said Arda was a nice place. But do note that I won't be posting any smut here. Prompts are meaningful snapshots, and unless the sex is really important, I'll be skipping it to get to the point.

Saving the lives of Thorin, Fili, and Kili, Legolas earns the respect and love of the Dwarves of Erebor, having briefly seen the whole of time itself, but unable to remember all of what he saw Legolas travels north after the battle and unites with Aragorn as his instincts urge him to. He knows that they have only won a single battle, and that worse is yet to come, he also knows that know he is bound to the Arkenstone and its infinite power he has a price on his head and his fate is entwined with the great war yet to come. AN A new chapter 24 has been added, I only just noticed it was missing. Chapter 26 is newly posted too.

The Hobbit meets Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Dwalin is looking for a companion on the quest to take back Erebor. He manages to convinces one Bilbo Baggins to marry him. However, he neglects to mention that he'll be traveling with twelve other messy, grumpy dwarves, the periously journey, or most importantly, a dragon waiting for him at the end. Bilbo is not pleased, but he does his best to take care of his new, wild dwarf family and maybe teach them some manners along the way.

Prompt by alkjira Bilbo stays in Erebor a bit longer and ends up losing Thorin and Bag End for one reason or another. Decides to hight tale it to Rivendell and completely charms the Elves. When Thorin wises up and goes after his hobbit he's gotta find her with the elves and they have a row. It all ends with Lindir being very scarred.
