Wilbur's revolution- the cultivation of hundreds of years of brainwashing by the King of the DSMP- has failed. Wilbur, Tommy, and Fundy now face the consequences of their insubordination: the Slaughtering, a game of death that takes place once a year in the House- a facility residing in the grand capital city of L'manberg. The contestants consist of criminals and citizens believed of treason, and they are dangerous. Tommy and his family are not the only victims now forced to fight for their survival, though. Sapnap and the rest of his Demon military squad have finally been arrested. For nine years, they fought in the Badlands War, and two years ago, they lost it. Sapnap's determination to win his peoples' freedom still burns bright, though. If it weren't for two certain strangers, he would burn the House to the ground and assassinate the King himself. They need to escape. They need to win the revolution. They need to be free. or In which Tommy and Fundy are brought to a place of great danger and wariness.

Up on the highest shelf, one that most could not reach without a step stool or possibly a small ladder, were four bright, shiny bells each embedded with unique crystals of far off lands Tommy had never seen. These lands were far away. Far beyond the hills in the distance, or the mountain ranges that slept in the horizon, or even, beyond the stars and the sun itself. These lands were beautiful and grand, outstretching to the infinity of space, with impossibly tall trees and dense forests hiding the most mystical of creatures. or; tommy lives with his older brother, and caretaker, dream, who runs a shop and attraction house showing off the horrifying wonders of the farlands. everything seems to be going well until his brother brings back something new; something alive.
