Erik is the grumpiest, most foul tempered worker at Stark industries. His grumpiness is the stuff of legends. So it's obviously the talk of the office when Erik is being made to go to the company party and he's bringing his husband. There's rumors flying round about how much of a masochist or equally antisocial bastard Erik's husband must be to put up with him. Others think he must be a meek mouse perhaps bullied by Erik. What they weren't expecting was the confident, charming, adorable and unbelievably nice Charles that turns up on Erik's arm. What they certainly weren't expecting was how much Erik obviously adores his husband and how happy he is to let others see this. - Based on a prompt from the kink meme.

Charles is a teacher at a very exclusive school. When armed men burst in on the trail of two children, of course he stands up to them and gets hurt. The children are Erik Lehnsherr's children (of course); a "prominent businessman" or, less politely, "mobster". Erik is grateful to Charles for saving his children's lives at the cost of his kneecap. So very grateful. Naturally he tries to reward Charles for his actions. Equally naturally, Charles will be having none of that. Azazel finds the whole thing unspeakably hilarious. Naturally.

The CIA agents on the base are bullying the children, mocking them for their mutations. Charles will not tolerate it. Or: Charles has a line, and the agents cross it. Several times. And Erik discovers that perhaps Charles is not so much of a pacifistic pushover as he appears.

Charles is the new psychiatrist at a high profile correctional facility for rogue mutants, and Erik is the notorious criminal who takes a liking to him.

In which Erik is a mob boss and Charles is blinded by love -until he isn't. By then, of course, it is much too late. Erik won't let him go.

In which Subject E, unwilling medical experiment, runs away from the lab which has him captive, and is taken in by Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Also known as the one wherein the author, no, I mean Shaw, did Terrible Things to Erik, and Charles helps him recover, for a change. This is no longer a WIP. It is complete(!) I am sure you're all very surprised.

Part of the modern day, non-powered AU: Take Charles Xavier, a Genetics Professor. Add his best friend and football/soccer player and coach Erik Lehnsherr to balance the equation. Use Lorna Lehnsherr, Erik's teenage daughter as a catalyst. Accidentally add Charles' nosy sister Raven and Erik's meddling friends- Azazel and Janos to the mix. It can only result in an exothermic reaction.
