Arthur Pendragon and Merlin were literally from two different worlds. One is a prince from a great kingdom and the other a common farm boy from the next kingdom over. These two should have never met. But that was before they realized their parents were once friends and arranged the two of them to marry when they reached adulthood. That was before Uther turned on magic and Hunith went on the run with her infant son. Now almost twenty years have passed and these two boys have grown into men. Camelot knights have found Hunith and come to collect her son. Will Merlin survive this new world he has been thrusted into? A peasant among royals, a sorcerer among those that would have him killed if they found out. Can Merlin even begin to hope for happiness when the prince he is forced to marry wants nothing to do with him? Follows canon but with my own arranged marriage spin to it

Arthur was tipped back against the wall, his mouth open for breath and staring at the small arrow-slit window over Merlin's head, trying to work out how it could possibly be that good with Merlin, of all people.

Arthur didn't speak to him for a week after he found out.

Merlin goes to a brothel to get rid of that virginity thing and runs into Arthur. From there on, it's all madness.

Modern AU. When Merlin Emrys gets a summer job at Buckingham Palace, he doesn't expect to even meet King Arthur, let alone become involved in protecting him from a plot to overthrow the monarchy.

In the middle of some quest or another, Merlin, Arthur and the knights find themselves stuck in the middle of a shrine being told that, if they wish to proceed unharmed, they need only speak their true names and titles. Straight-forward enough, right? Wrong. Merlin really hates the Old Religion sometimes.

It wasn't all that unusual for people to hide their daemons; Merlin, however, seems to be taking it a little far.

When Voldemort attacked he didn't kill Lily and James. When he met his downfall they mistook Harry's twin as the GWL, they send their son away to the Dursleys but he doesn't quite make it in to the Dursley's loving care. Harry will take Hogwarts and his 'family' by storm and by the time the 'light' realize their mistake it will be too late for them to fix.

Arthur finds out Merlin's secret - and he does not react well. Arthur snatched his sword up from the ground, rolled back onto his feet and lunged forward quickly to bring the point to Merlin's chest and keep him away. "Stay where you are," he said and Merlin stopped, his eyes going wide in panic.

Considering Arthur's future wife will be chosen less for compatibility than for her political value, Merlin may be the only marriage he'll have that won't end in bloodshed or a great deal of fortifying wine.

Being a quick dialogue-only response to the fabulous Opening Ceremonies of The London 2012 Olympics, set in the Student Prince 'verse.

"If you'd been lectured by my father for four hours on your thirteenth birthday about all the many disasters that occur to a realm when you muddy the succession with bastards, you wouldn't have been very quick to dive into bed with the nearest servant girl, either," Arthur muttered.

Merlin has a secret vagina. Arthur finds out about it and decides to make him squirt, 'cause why not?

When Merlin is captured and injured, Arthur must face up to his own feelings for his manservant as well as the many secrets he discovers are being kept from him.

After a sudden encounter with Morgana, Merlin is severely injured, only managing to survive by calling the Great Dragon. However, he must return to Camelot still affected and somehow hide this from Arthur. But what's another secret on top of so many others? Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin, and the whole idea of how Merlin's blindness works is from TA Barron's Merlin series (which is amazing and everyone should read)

Prompt: Druids start to slowly come out of hiding, living their lives peacefully in the kingdom and even sending a diplomat or two to Camelot. After a close call or two, Merlin has to have a chat with them about not revealing Merlin's identity. While no one ever does reveal Merlin is Emrys, a lot of people start to talk about Emrys in Camelot.

"I'm not sure what I'd have done.""And I didn't want to put you in that position.” For better or for worse, Arthur knows Merlin's secret. The problem? Merlin doesn't know Arthur knows. This leaves Arthur with a predicament... and an opportunity. A test. Three trials and three opportunities for Merlin to prove he doesn't deserve death. Arthur hopes he will pass them. Maybe then the image of Merlin's golden eyes will stop haunting him. Merlin opened his mouth. A noise unlike any sound Arthur had ever heard escaped from it. Loud and rumbling and guttural, inhuman, and in no way, shape, or form could actually be coming from his manservant. But it was. And Merlin was speaking. "O drakon, e male so ftengometta tesd'hup'anankes! Erkheo!" For a minute, there was complete silence—a silence in which Arthur just stared from behind a tree in an incomprehensive daze. But then there was a sound. Both loud and forceful and... familiar. The sound of flapping wings. AKA an in-depth character study of Arthur. I do not endorse Arthur's actions, but this is what I think he'd do in canon. This was my season 3 prediction!

While still at uni, Arthur Pendragon meets two people who become his best friends. He falls in love with one of them... but marries the other. This isn't his story to tell; it's Merlin's. And Merlin will always remember that he met Arthur first. (Modern setting. Angst. Arthur/Gwen --> Arthur/Merlin).

Arthur's biggest problem to date, Merlin thinks darkly as he carries yet another load of suspiciously not-really-dirty clothing down the stairs, is an unaccountable fear of anyone, anywhere, suspecting he's capable of being other than a complete and utter prat.

Merlin is hit with a curse that gives him an insight to Arthur that he never thought he'd have.

All Gwaine wanted was to find out Merlin's last name. He wasn't expecting to get caught up in assassinations and intrigue, in prophecy and fate, or in a silent war that had apparently been going on since before he came to Camelot. With witch-finders and sorcerers of unknown loyalties running through the halls of Camelot, will Gwaine's own past make or break his friendships... especially when Merlin's biggest secret is revealed? Truths will come to light. Brotherhoods will be tested. And, in the end, will anyone's secrets be safe?
