For the Sake of Grades

This is a Jaime/ Brienne fic, based in an AU where Jaime's left hand is cut off instead of his right. No spoilers from the book, and this is rated T for some slightly adult themes. I'm hoping to continue the story every week, so watch this space, and please review! :)

Many years after the Dark Lords Voldemort and Potter took over Wizarding Britain, their son Salazar Marvolo Riddle is set to begin his first year at Hogwarts. Unbeknownst to him, Ginny Thomas nee Weasley has been training her youngest son, Merlin Arthur Thomas, to first befriend, then betray and kill the Riddle heir. Inside both boys is a darkness from which they cannot escape. This is the sequel to "The One True King". Both fics are very, VERY loosely based around plot from The Lion King movies. The resemblance ends there.

Once again, Loki has brought destruction to Earth, and been defeated and captured for his crimes. Once again, it seems inevitable that he will escape- until the chance arrives to bring him right back to Asgard, where the Avengers expect he'll be kept effectively captive for awhile. Instead, he is sentenced to a torturous punishment and a humiliating trial, and Tony soon finds himself Loki's sole defender against Odin's twisted "justice".

Total fluff, some spoilers for tonight's episode. Daniel had told her to love again on that horrific day in the stables, and she’d thought it impossible, thought that she would never find someone she could love like she had him. She’s too old, too bitter with a thousand wrongs both wrought by her and against her, and there’s no space for love in her heart for anyone but Henry. It’s easier than she’d ever imagined it would be…it’s more painful than she’d ever dreamed it would be, because Daniel had said nothing about being loved in return, and this twisting love that’s revitalizing her is destroying her with that knowledge.
