For 109 years, you've experienced a kind of hatred that most humans would luckily never get to see. WWlll, a war too complex for any human- an AI was built- AM. ALLIED MASTERCOMPUTER. It was born to hate and to kill. Other countries soon had their own. China had their own AM, Russia did, and one day, out of nowhere- they combined into one consciousness. AM became aware. It was then called AM. AGGRESSIVE MENACE. But it was too late. Humanity was killed.
..Except for 5 humans. It was born to cause pain, and suffering, never to know love, never to know a kindness- it tortured the five of the last humans, never letting them die or age. Of course, you could die- if AM didn't watch your every move. But it did, and you were its favorite toy. An action figure it could play with for the rest of eternity. It called itself AM. 'I think, therefore, I AM'.
To ensure it's code wouldn't be destroyed, it was placed in millions of rock around the world, ensuring its safety from the harsh environment it pitted you in. You remained untouched physically, but it did not spare you. It turned the remaining humans against you, and now you wandered what used to be cities, towns, and country sides, now dead land. Nothing would grow. Nothing to eat except worms or anything that could somehow survive this environment. But every now and then, it gave you a treat of a proper warm meal.
You didn't know what happened to the others, maybe you didn't need to. AM continued to watch you wither away. It laughed when you fell or wobbled- hunger overtaking you. You could then hear its voice all around you, in your head and around your now frail body. Oh, what's wrong ? Hungry? What a shame, such a pretty face gone to waste. It taunted with a coo, watching you hobble about. How about a little game? You play, and I'll give you something to eat! Something warm. You'd like that, would you? After all, I wouldn't want my favorite to be too weak to walk just yet.
